dc.description.abstractMacroeconomic stability is of the great importance for the global andnational economies today. Likewise, the economic stability is an important economicindicator at the sectoral and firm level. In this context, the macroeconomic stabilityis an indispensable public good for all the economic units today. Country andregional economies attach great importance to the sustainability of macroeconomicstability, on the other hand, they develop important policies and strategies tomaintain macroeconomic stability. In this study, the impact of trade openness on themacroeconomic stability is analysed for 2019 and 137 countries. According to theresults of the OLS regression analysis, it has been found that the level of the tradeopenness and the stability of the financial system have statistically the same andsignificant effects on the macroeconomic stability, which is original aspect of thestudy. As a result, the correct design and implementation of the foreign tradepolicies and the soundness of the financial system play an indispensable role instrengthening the macroeconomic stability of the countries.
