Özet
Globalleşen dünyada, rekabetin artmasıyla işletmelerin bu rekabet ortamında ayakta kalabilmeleri için belli bir sistematiğe ihtiyaç duyulmuştur. Bu çalışma işletmeler için EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli uygulamasının gerekliliği amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde sürdürülebilirlik kavramı ve EFQM ( Avrupa Kalite Yönetim Vakfı ) Mükemmellik Modeli incelenmiş ve işletmeler açısından gerekliliği tartışılmıştır. Sürdürülebilirlik kavramının tarihsel gelişimi ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde modelin işletmeler açısından uygulanabilirliği ve sayladığı faydalar üzerinde analizler yapılmış. Modelin kriterleri, temel kavramları ve yapısı başlıkları altında modelin iskeleti çıkarılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde modelin İGDAŞ ( İstanbul Gaz Dağıtım Sanayii ve Ticaret A.Ş. ) uygulaması elde edilen veriler ışığında aktarılmış ve modelin İGDAŞ'a kazandırdıkları değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile işletmelerin, varlıklarını sürdürebilmeleri ve yoğun rekabet ortamında güçlü rakiplerle mücadele edebilmeleri adına, yönetim felsefesi ile yola çıkmalarının önemi vurgulanmıştır. EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli ile İGDAŞ'ın iyileştirmeye açık alanları belirlenmiş ve bu alanlar üzerinde çalışmalar yapılarak eksikler giderilmiştir.
In today's globalised world, with the increase of competition among the businesses, a systematic model has been required for enterprises to survive within this competitive environment. This study was conducted for the prerequisite of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model system for organisations. This report comprises three parts. In the first chapter, the definition of sustainability and the EFQM Excellence Model was reviewed and the importance of the model was discussed. Information on the historical development of the sustainability definition was also presented. In the second part, the business model's applicability and benefits were evaluated. The parameters of the model, essential principles and structure of the skeleton of the model was described. In the third chapter, the use of the afore-mentioned model by the Istanbul Gas Distribution Industry and Trade Joint Stock Company (IGDAS) was presented in the light of the data obtained from the company, and the benefits gained through this model by IGDAS were evaluated.
