Covid-19’un Pandemi Salgınının Havacılık Sektörüne Etkisi: Gig Ekonomisi Alternatifi

| dc.description.abstract | 2020 yılının ilk çeyreğinde Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından pandemi ilan edilmesine yol açan Covid-19 salgınının en olumsuz etkilediği sektörlerden biri havacılık sektörüdür. Salgın devam ederken havacılık sektöründeki bazı işletmeler iflas başvurusunda bulunmuş, bazı işletmeler çalışanlarını işten çıkarmıştır. Salgının sektöre olumsuz etkileri devam ederken, işletmeler uygun çıkış stratejileri araştırmaya devam etmektedirler. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada, sektördeki işletmelerin ve çalışanların salgının olumsuz etkilerinden kurtulabilmesi için alternatif olarak gig ekonomisi değerlendirilmektedir. Gig ekonomisi, şirketlerin ya da bireylerin talepleri doğrultusunda çalışanların işverenler ile kısa süreli sözleşme yaptığı bir piyasadır. Günümüzde gig ekonomisinin en iyi örneklerinin başında Uber ve BlaBlaCar gibi ulaşım tabanlı hizmetler gelmektedir. Farklı sektörlerin de dahil olduğu bu çalışma modelinde havacılık sektörü de yerini almıştır. Sektörde özellikle uçuş ekibinin gig ekonomisinde yer almaya başlamasıyla, küresel veri tabanı üzerinden pilot ve kabin ekibi gereksinimleri karşılanmaya başlanmıştır. İşletmelerin gig ekonomisinde yer almasıyla maliyetleri azaltabileceği ve çalışanların gig çalışanları olarak mesleklerini garantiye alabilecekleri mümkün görülmektedir. Geleceğin önemli sektörlerinden biri olarak gig ekonomisinin, havacılık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren işletmeler ve havacılık çalışanları ile Covid-19 salgınından etkilenen sektörün geleceği için bir alternatif olarak değerlendirilebileceği ortaya konulmuştur. Bu çalışma Covid-19 sürecinden etkilenen havacılık sektöründe ortaya konulan stratejilerden biri olarak gig ekonomisinin değerlendirildiği ilk sistematik araştırma olması bakımından orijinal kabul edilmektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In the first quarter of 2020, the World Health Organization declared a pandemic in the post on its way to the Covidien-19 is one of the sectors that the virus outbreak adversely affect the aviation industry. In this regard, in this study, businesses and the economy as an alternative gig to get rid of the negative impact of the outbreak of the employees in the sector are evaluated. The gig economy is a market where employees make short-term contracts with employers in line with the demands of companies or individuals. Today, transportation-based services such as Uber and BlaBlaCar are among the best examples of the gig economy. In the gig economy model, which includes different sectors, the aviation sector has also taken its place. Especially with the start of the flight crew to take part in the gig economy in the industry, pilots and cabin crew requirements were met through the global database. Businesses can reduce costs and employees to take part in the gig economy, it seems possible that they can guarantee their profession as employees. It has been revealed that the gig economy, as one of the important sectors of the future, can be considered as an alternative for the future of the sectors which affected by the Covid-19 epidemic for businesses and aviation employees operating in the aviation sector. This study is considered original as it is the first systematic study to evaluate the gig economy as one of the strategies put forward in the aviation industry affected by the Covid-19 process. | |
