Özet
Tez çalışmasında iş kazalarını ve meslek hastalıklarını, davranış odaklı güvenlik yönetimi ile azaltmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, uygulama yapmak için aynı holdinge bağlı, dışarıya yemek hizmeti veren iki firma seçilmiştir. İlk bölümde kaza teorileri davranış odaklı güvenlik yönetimi kapsamında incelenmiştir. Güvenlik kültürü, davranış, güvenli davranış, iş kazalarında çalışanların davranışlarına bağlı nedenler, tehlikeli durum, tehlikeli davranış kavramları üzerinde durulmuştur. Davranış odaklı güvenlik yönetiminin sağlanması için gereken adımlar, uygulamalar incelenmiştir. Türkiye genelinde dışarıya yemek hizmeti veren (Catering) firmalarda iş sağlığı ve güvenliği süreci, bu firmalarda yaşanan iş kazaları ve meslek hastalıkları istatistikleri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde seçilen iki firmaya ait bilgilere, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği açısından değerlendirilmelerine ve uygulamada kullanılan davranış odaklı güvenlik yönetiminin ayrıntılarına yer verilmiştir. Yöntemin yaklaşık altı ay uygulanması ile iş kazalarının azaldığı ve çalışanların güvenli davranış eğilimlerinin arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan yöntemin, iş sağlığı ve güvenliği uygulamalarında yeni yönetim sistemlerine ihtiyaç duyulması ve farklı sektörler için uygulanabilir olması göz önünde bulundurulduğunda ileriki çalışmalar için önerildiği ve bu kapsamda iş kazalarının ve meslek hastalıklarının önüne geçilebileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.
In the thesis, it was aimed to reduce work accidents and occupational diseases with behavior-based safety management. In this direction, two companies that are affiliated to the same holding and providing catering services were selected for the implementation. In the first part, accident theories were examined within the scope of behavior-based safety management. Safety culture, behavior, safe behavior, the reasons related to the behavior of employees in work accidents, dangerous situation, dangerous behavior concepts were discussed. The steps and practices required to ensure behavior-based safety management were examined. Occupational health and safety processes in the catering companies in Turkey and the statistics on work-related accidents and occupational diseases in these companies were examined. In the third part, the data from these two companies, their assessment in terms of occupational health and safety, and the details of the behavior-based safety management in practice were included. It was determined that work accidents decreased and the safe behavioral tendency of the employees increased. It was concluded that the method used in the study was recommended for future studies, considering the need for new management systems in occupational health and safety practices and its applicability for different sectors, and in this context, work accidents and occupational diseases could be prevented.
