Öğe Determination of satisfaction levels of individuals participating in cultural tourism with chatgpt(IGI Global, 2024) Yaşar, Emre; Tür, Erge; Yayla, Eda; Öztürk, IsmailChatGPT plays a crucial role in analyzing online comments from tourists, as demonstrated in this study. Through its analysis and interpretation capabilities, ChatGPT effectively identifies satisfaction factors in tourist comments regarding Zelve Open Air Museum, Pasabagi, Guray Museum, Goreme National Park, and Kaymakli Underground City. By delineating both positive and negative factors, ChatGPT adds a new dimension to the evaluation of online comments. Moreover, ChatGPT assigns satisfaction scores to these factors, further enhancing its contribution to the analysis of tourist feedback. Overall, this study highlights ChatGPT's ability to parse online comments, identify satisfaction factors, and provide valuable insights into tourist experiences. ©2024, IGI Global. Within the framework of Conversation Theory, a mutual dialog was developed with ChatGPT to create a smart tourism destination plan. Within the scope of this dialog, 3 questions were asked to ChatGPT to create a smart tourism destination plan, examples and level. It is seen that ChatGPT has created a plan consisting of ten dimensions for Nevşehir destination. In this plan, ChatGPT emphasizes areas such as strengthening the digital infrastructure, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) applications, online ticketing systems and e-commerce integration in a more comprehensive manner. In addition to these dimensions, the ChatGPT smart tourism destination plan also emphasizes issues such as cultural heritage protection, community engagement, education, digital marketing and security. It is seen that ChatGPT includes many factors that are important for a destination's tourism activities within the scope of smart tourism. Through an empirical approach, the research aims to contribute valuable insights into the practical implications and applications of the metaverse within travel agencies, shedding light on its evolving significance in the tourism sector. In general, it is seen that the opinions of travel agency employees about Metaverse are positive. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that Metaverse can make positive contributions to travel agency activities. According to the study results, the areas of use of ChatGPT in tourism education are preparing course content, curriculum and exams, language learning, and obtaining theoretical knowledge. ChatGPT is suitable for academicians and students within the scope of tourism education. The factors affecting the applicability of ChatGPT in tourism education are the digital skills and technological predispositions of academics and students, ethical and security concerns, and the structural characteristics of tourism education. The positive effects of ChatGPT on tourism students are that it improves their research skills and efficiency, saves time, increases creativity, and provides access to information quickly. The negative effects of ChatGPT on tourism students are the possibility of making them lazy, accessing wrong information, reducing their thinking skills, and making them dependent on technology. © 2024, IGI Global.
