    ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF HEAVY INDUSTRY WORKERS’ DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS ON THEIR LIFE QUALITY

    Some professions may be differentiated from other occupational groups due to difficulties. The life quality of heavy industry workers is an important issue due to the difficulties it has. In this study, the effect of demographic characteristics of 38 heavy industry workers working in iron-steel and machinery industry on their life quality has been analyzed. The research hypotheses have been tested with the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) and the Smart PLS 3 package program. Multi-criteria decision making techniques have been used to rank the accepted hypotheses according to their degree of impact. AHP integrated TOPSIS method has been used as a fuzzy decision-making approach and it has been seen that the ranking of the hypotheses according to their degree of impact supports the results of the KEKK-YEM analysis. As a result of the analysis, 7 hypotheses have been accepted. It has been observed that the H20 hypothesis, that is, the effect of education level on environmental conditions, has the highest effect. To the best of our knowledge, KEKK-YEM and fuzzy AHP integrated TOPSIS method have been used for the first time in the literature for the problem of determining the effect of demographic characteristics of heavy industry workers on their life quality.

    Analysis of the Impact of Demographic Characteristics and Business Conditions on Employee Job Satisfaction

    Job satisfaction is an important concept in terms of productivity and continuity of enterprises. The decrease in the job satisfaction level of the employees may cause many problems such as slowing down the work and low productivity. In this study, the surveys conducted on 150 employees from 52 sectors were evaluated with the SMART-PLS 3 package program, and the effect of perceptions on business conditions (economic, ergonomic, internal communication, workload level, and career opportunities) on job satisfaction was examined. The topic addressed in the study, the classification of organizational conditions and the methodology employed, contributes to the literature. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that the perceptions of internal communication and career opportunities affect the level of job satisfaction of the employees. In the continuation of the study, the effect of the demographic characteristics of the employees on these perceptions was examined by using the SPSS 22 statistical program. This examination revealed that the gender affected the perception of internal communication and the education level the perception of career opportunities.

    İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Farkındalığının İncelenmesi ve Risk Değerlendirmesi: Din Görevlileri ve Camiler Üzerine Bir Araştırma

    Toplumsal hayatta camilerin önemli bir yeri vardır. Yapılan çalışma ile camilerde iş güvenliğiyle ilgili önlemlerin alınmasına katkı sağlamak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma din görevlileri ve camiler özelinde yapılan ilk kapsamlı iş güvenliği ve risk analizi çalışmasıdır. Çalışmada 2012-2021 yılları arasında camilerde yaşanan kazalar incelenerek 50 farklı kazaya/olaya ait veriler paylaşıldı ve din görevlilerinin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği farkındalığını incelemek amacıyla İstanbul ili Esenyurt ilçesinde 173 din görevlisi ile yüz yüze anket çalışması yapıldı. Anket sonucunda din görevlilerinin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği eğitimi ve ilk yardım eğitimi alma durumları ile bilgi birikimleri ve çalışma yerlerindeki uygulamaların yeterliliği arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edildi. Yaşanan kazalar ve analiz sonuçları dikkate alınarak ve karşılaşılabilecek diğer riskler de göz önünde bulundurularak tüm camilerde uygulanılabilecek 77 maddelik kontrol listesi oluşturuldu. Kontrol listesinde, belirtilen risklere karşı alınması gereken önlemler sunuldu. Yaşanan kazalar ve kontrol listesinde sunulan önlemler dikkate alınarak öncelikli olarak yapılması gereken çalışmalara ilişkin somut önerilerde bulunuldu.
