Detection of suitable receptacle or vessel is essential for domestic induction cooking applications due to user safety, over-current protection and efficient heating reasons. Especially in the single switch topology, it could be even more complicated to determine pan size and/or position compared to other topologies. In this paper three pan detection methods are presented and analyzed. First method is comparison of IGBT collector voltage or coil current with pre-defined values. Second one is comparison of single switch IGBT collector voltage VcE with DC Bus voltage Vric and the third one is evaluating anti-parallel diode current conduction time.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessHome appliances; induction cooking systems; induction cookers; pan detection methods; resonant converters; single switch topologyComparison of Pan Detection Methods for Single Switch Topology Used in Domestic Induction CookingConference ObjectN/AWOS:000722591200039N/A
