İş sağlığı ve güvenliğinin amacı, çalışanların çalışma ortamında fiziksel, zihinsel ve sosyal sağlıklarını sürdürmelerini sağlamak ve onları iş sırasında oluşabilecek risklerden korumaktır. Çalışmada; SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 virüsü ele alınmış, hastalığın Dünyada ve ülkemizde seyri ve sağlık çalışanları üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Pandemi döneminde; birçok ülke ve Türkiye tarafından virüsün yayılımını önlemek için bir takım önlemler almış ancak alınan bu tedbirler hastalıkla mücadelede yeterli olmamıştır. 11 Mart- 31 Aralık 2020 tarihleri arasında Dünyada ve ülkemizde görülen toplam COVID-19 vaka ve ölüm sayıları üzerinde durularak bu vaka ve ölüm sayılarındaki sağlık çalışanlarının oranları hesaplanmıştır. Hastalıkla mücadelede en ön saflarda yer alan ve virüsle en çok temas halinde bulunan kesim olan sağlık çalışanlarının karşılaştıkları riskler oranlarıyla belirtilmiştir. Sağlık çalışanları, toplumun sağlığını korumak ve yükseltmek için çok zor koşullarda çalışmaktadır. Bu sebeple bütün sağlık çalışanlarının iş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda bilgilendirilmesi, mesleklerini icra ederken karşılaşabilecekleri risk ve tehlikelerin farkında olmaları sağlanmalıdır.In this thesis, evaluations were made about the occupational health and safety of healthcare workers and the risks they face. The purpose of occupational health and safety is to ensure that employees maintain their physical, mental and social health in the work environment and to protect them from risks that may occur during work. In the study; The SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19 virus was discussed, the course of the disease in the world and in our country and its effects on healthcare workers were evaluated. During the pandemic period; a number of measures to prevent the spread of the virus has taken by many countries and Turkey, but these measures are not sufficient in combating the disease. By focusing on the total number of COVID-19 cases and deaths seen in the world and in our country between March 11 and December 31, 2020, the rates of healthcare workers in this number of cases and deaths were calculated. The risks faced by healthcare workers, who are at the forefront of the fight against the disease and are the most in contact with the virus, are indicated with their rates. Healthcare workers work under very difficult conditions to protect and improve the health of the society.
